What Gets Measured Gets Changed: Turning Complex Data into Action

The technology sector is helping shape the future, but it also operates in a world filled with complex, often invisible systems. The challenge is that some of the most important data, like carbon, remains invisible to most employees.

Michelle uses her signature blend of creative storytelling, pop culture, interactive learning, and unexpected connections to break down complex topics. What do Taylor Swift concerts, Beatles records, streaming music, smartphones, and the cloud have in common? They all reveal hidden systems (energy, consumption, technology, and data) in ways that people instantly understand.

The keynote concludes by exploring how organizations can use data to uncover sustainability opportunities across the business, and how every function, from engineering and product to sales, HR, operations, and leadership, can use data to make better decisions and deliver measurable outcomes.
